The founders of Chicken Salad Chick, Stacy and Kevin Brown, feel the most important character trait necessary to be able to run a successful “Chick” is to have a servant’s heart. Each franchise owner has been carefully selected and proven to be passionate about serving people. “Our Story” was written by Stacy when the very first Chicken Salad Chick opened and we thought it would be fun to share the stories of how our owners became involved.

                                    Meet the Owners
Barbie Pressly, Shawna Patterson, Melanie Polhill & Stacy Damico

These families were introduced to Chicken Salad Chick by a friend in Auburn, so they traveled to the nearest location in Columbus, GA to see what all the fuss was about. The restaurant was so warm and comfortable, and with one bite, they were completely hooked! They then learned the story of how the business was started, and were impressed. With all four women being stay-at-home moms, they could definitely relate to Stacy's story. Her determination, faith and generous heart are unmatched. They simply had to bring this amazing story and chicken salad to the Atlanta area!

Together with their husbands, they began the process of partnering with Stacy and Kevin Brown to introduce Chicken Salad Chick to the Atlanta market.  A year later, they opened their first location in Alpharetta, GA.

What is a fun fact about yourself that your guests may not know?
Barbie Pressly & her family have 9 chickens – Henrietta, Lacy, Sally, Dove, Ms. Pibb, Ebony, Ruby, Ginger & Blondie. The chickens are not aware of the Chicken Salad Chick business!

Stacy Damico loves being with her family and serving in leadership for Sonflower and Rise Up! Ministries.

Shawna Patterson was born in Baltimore but considers herself a Southern girl since she’s lived in Atlanta for more than 34 years. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Chip.

Melanie Polhill is married to Stephen, and he is greatly outnumbered by all the “chicks” in their household. They have three precious daughters.

Tell us about your favorite customer testimonial.
As I was walking around the restaurant during a busy lunch our first week of business, I noticed a very happy lady sitting alone.  She was obviously full of joy and excitement.  I stopped to greet her and enjoy her beautiful mood.  She told me that she was SO excited to be in our wonderful restaurant eating our wonderful food.  She said it was her first visit, and she was very impressed.  She had ordered the Chick Trio with Classic Carol, Dixie Chick and Jalapeno Holly.  It was no fluke that she had ordered the first three chicken salads on the menu.  She said she was going to order the next three chicken salads the next time she dined with us until she made it through the menu.  She wanted to try everything before she decided on her favorites.  She said she wanted to give them all a fair shot!  Loved her and her beautiful spirit.
