Pete and Julie

The founders of Chicken Salad Chick, Kevin and Stacy Brown, feel the most important character trait necessary to be able to run a successful “Chick” is to have a servant’s heart. Each franchise owner has been carefully selected and proven to be passionate about serving people. “Our Story” was written by Stacy when the very first Chicken Salad Chick opened and we thought it would be fun to share the stories of how our owners became involved.

                                            Pete & Julie North

Julie North’s connection to Stacy Brown goes back to their college days. “We developed a rare bond that’s made us friends for life,” Julie states.

Julie, Jazzy Julie to Chicken Salad Chick fans, is proud to be one of the famous Chicken Salad Chicks. “I’m extremely honored to be named one of the chicks,” Julie says.

“I watched Kevin and Stacy Brown take this incredible journey and had an up close view of what it has taken to make Chicken Salad Chick what it is today,” she adds.

Julie worked as an emergency room nurse for 12 years and claims her coworkers love of the chicken salad she brought back from Auburn convinced her to open a Chicken Salad Chick in Valdosta, Georgia.

“Seeing their excitement and love for Chicken Salad Chick definitely made me realize that it wasn’t just me; this chicken salad really was perfect,” Julie states.

She and her husband Pete opened the Chicken Salad Chick franchise in Valdosta in October 2013.

I have an incredible love for animals and would love to be in the position to one day open an animal rescue center.

Tell us about your favorite customer testimonial.

“Thank you for allowing God to use you to be such an inspiration and a blessing.  I had the opportunity to visit your Valdosta restaurant yesterday with some friends and LOVED it.  The warmth when we entered and friendliness of your staff was so nice and the food was amazing.  I am going back today and taking a friend that has not had the privilege of trying it yet.  It was not until this morning when I was looking up the menu that I knew your story......again thank you for allowing God to use you to be a blessing and a reminder than
when a door is closed He in His infinite wisdom will always open another if we are willing to exercise our Faith and Trust Him enough to walk through it.”
