The founders of Chicken Salad Chick, Stacy and Kevin Brown, feel the most important character trait necessary to be able to run a successful “Chick” is to have a servant’s heart. Each franchise owner has been carefully selected and proven to be passionate about serving people. “Our Story” was written by Stacy when the very first Chicken Salad Chick opened and we thought it would be fun to share the stories of how our owners became involved.

Tampa Owners

Tammy Cochran first heard about Chicken Salad Chick when Founder Stacy Brown came to her Sister-In-Law (Jazzy Julie) baby's shower back in 2007.  Stacy was then selling it out of her home. She had the logo on her car and brought samples in. Later, Pete and Julie North opened the Chicken Salad Chick in Valdosta. We went to see their store and it was so different than what we expected and we loved it immediately. It had a fun and happy atmosphere and the chicken salad was great!!  We approached Stacy's husband and founder, Kevin Brown immediately after about franchising opportunities that but they were not ready to move into the central Florida market. We continued to follow up and when the Tampa market opened up we partnered with Pete and Julie to bring Chicken Salad Chick to Tampa.

Brad worked with Dow Chemical and Tammy was an IT Manager at Media General.  Brad left Dow Chemical after many years in Marketing, Sales and Management. Tammy left her job with Media General after 14 years at the end of July 2015. You never know what path God has planned for you.  We would have never dreamed that we would end up in the restaurant business!

What is a fun fact about yourself that your guests may not know?

We love to go salt water fishing and boating. Brad's dream is to one day get a catamaran and sail the British Virgin Islands.
