Bob and Terry



The founders of Chicken Salad Chick, Kevin and Stacy Brown, feel the most important character trait necessary to be able to run a successful “Chick” is to have a servant’s heart. Each franchise owner has been carefully selected and proven to be passionate about serving people. “Our Story” was written by Stacy when the very first Chicken Salad Chick opened and we thought it would be fun to share the stories of how our owners became involved.

Bob and Terry heard the news that their favorite local restaurant, Chicken Salad Chick, was selling franchise and they promptly said to each other: “Let’s do it”.

Bob, a dermatologist, and Terry had recently married and their blended families were living in the Auburn area, but decided that they would like to open their Chicken Salad Chick in Huntsville, Alabama. So, Bob sold his medical practice and they moved north. Bob opened a new practice there and Terry set about working hard on the new restaurant.

“We don’t know anything about running a restaurant, but we know two things: we enjoy providing Southern hospitality and that Chicken Salad Chick makes the best chicken salad we’ve ever eaten,” Bob and Terry say.

Now, this practicing dermatologist loves to tell his patients about the yummy food that he and Terry are bringing to the Huntsville area.

“A dream come true,” says Terry.

What is a fun fact about yourself that your guests may not know?

The voice on the Chicken Salad Chick radio ads?  That's my Southern drawl, y'all!

Tell us about your favorite customer testimonial.

Our first restaurant just opened, but is it testimony enough to already have six tour groups contact us and book a lunch stop at our place?!

What is your favorite Chick?

We love 'em all, but my favorite is Luau Lydia.  Bob can't go a week without Buffalo Barclay.
